When someone asks me for a new spot to try in the East Valley, my answer comes out before they even finish the question: Feringhee.
Tucked conveniently off the 101 near Chandler Mall, Feringhee is a masterclass in modern Indian cuisine — where tradition and innovation dance together on every plate. It’s the kind of place that redefines what you think you know about Indian food, blending heritage flavors with artful presentation and a touch of contemporary flair.
First Impressions
Light pours through the space, illuminating the vibrant colors and elegant plating that make each dish as beautiful as it is delicious. The room feels refined yet comfortable — polished without pretense — setting the stage for an unforgettable meal.
Cocktails with Character
On this visit, I had the pleasure of introducing a dear friend to the magic of Feringhee, and we kicked things off the right way: with cocktails that blur the line between mixology and art.
The Purple Tongue — gin, Indian blackberry, and a rose-shaped ice sculpture — was as stunning as it was sippable. But for me, it’s always the whiskey-based drinks that win the night. The Passionfruit Sour (bourbon meets tropical) is an instant mood-lifter, but my forever favorite remains the Ghee Old Fashioned — silky, aromatic, and just the right balance of sweet, spiced, and smoky.
Happy Hour Heaven
Feringhee’s Happy Hour is one of the best-kept secrets in the Valley. I couldn’t resist ordering the Cauliflower 65, a spiced and crispy bite of perfection paired with their addicting peanut chutney. We also tried the Rock Shrimp Koliwada and Murgh Malai Tikka, both standout dishes that are equal parts flavorful and filling. A solid win all around.
Dinner to Remember
As the evening menu rolled in, we couldn’t resist staying for round two. The Feringhee Chaat and Paneer Mille-Feuille are two dishes I’ll never skip — playful, layered, and bursting with texture and color.
And dessert? You simply have to save room. I finally tried the “Popsicle,” the one I’d somehow missed before — coated in rose petals and pistachios, it’s light, creamy, and utterly dreamy.
The Final Word
Feringhee isn’t just another restaurant — it’s a revelation. A place that turns Indian cuisine into a conversation between the past and present, comfort and curiosity. Each visit leaves me planning the next one before I’ve even paid the bill.
If you haven’t been yet, trust me — you’ll want to bring everyone you know.
